Onyx
Dark & Bold
Robust, not bitter; endless flavor.
Our Onyx blend offers a dark, robust taste with no trace of bitterness. If you're the coffee lover who's looking for a rich, unique flavor, look no further. We know that you look for the best in your coffee, and you'll lose yourself in the bottomless flavor of Onyx.
Let me clarify the title. I'm in a men's workout group called F3. F3memphis.com if you're curious (it's free and you get a bad nickname). We do exercises pre-dawn in parks around the city. Calisthenics. CMUs for dirt-cheap weights. Running and Rucking. You get it. The workouts are usually 45 minutes, and I feel like I'm gonna die by the end most times. But a staple of the workout is that afterward, we share a word of wisdom and we gather for coffee that someone made at like 5AM and shared with the group. That is the best tasting coffee. It tastes amazing, fortified, bold, and after all the fuss leading up, you don't notice the bitter taste. No sugar or cream needed to taste good, because you earned that coffee.
Well, Onyx just tastes like that all the time. Even when you wake up late on a Saturday, and you set your Mr. Coffee to auto-brew in the morning with Onyx grounds put in there the night before. The first sip from your lazy weekend mug of choice tastes like that sunrise mug you sip from with drying sweat on your brow.
It tastes like you earned it.
JBrooks Onyx is my favorite dark roast coffee in the city of Memphis. I will go out of my way just to get a bag of whole beans from JBrooks since some grocery stores near me don't have it. I love it that much!
A Memphis friend introduced us to JBrooks Onyx during a visit.
We have since gladly been willing to order online for shipment to Middle Tennessee.
Such rich dark full flavor and their packaging makes it so easy to keep air out of the ground bag during storage
We have been purchasing JBrooks Onyx and Onyx Decaf for many years We blend the two together to have half-caf. This has been our go-to favorite and is the only decent decaf around. I wish the whole bean was available in more stores other than Fresh Market but I know we can order from website.
We bought it once at Whole Foods and would drive 2 hours every month to buy more. Now we order online.
The BEST!
